Glow on the Go

When I saw this cute little set in the Space NK website I couldn’t resist my urge to buy it. I was looking for a powder highlighter, and thinking of buying the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone. But when I saw this mini set I decided to give it a try first.

This mini set contains a Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlight in Opal and a Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal.

When I received it I was a little bit let down by the pressed highlighter, on the website it looked like a golden champagne colour, but in fact it’s more of a pink golden colour. I do like pink highlighters but only when they come in a cream form. I absolutely love Benefits High Beam and Clinique’s Chubby Stick sculpting highlight. But a pink highlighter doesn’t suit me when it comes in a powder form.

The shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal is pure shimmer without chunky pieces of glitter. In my opinion those are the best highlighters! And it’s perfectly suited for olive or slightly tanned skin tones.

On the other hand, I absolutely loved the liquid version. It’s very subtle if used sparingly, making it day time appropriate.

I will have a play with the pressed powder version, lets see if I can learn to love it. If you have the pressed version let me know how you use it.
